Physical Agents (Noise) Directive
In November 2000 the Swedish Presidency of the European Union
introduced a proposal for a Noise Directive. Political agreement
on a Common Position was reach in June 2001. (EU likely text of
political agreement reached at Employment & Social Affairs
Council 11th June 2001 (EP session document no. C5-0643/2001)
This would repeal the existing 1986 Noise Directive (86/188/EEC)
(EU Council Directive of 12th May 1986 on the protection of workers
from risks related to exposure to noise at work) implemented in
the UK by the Noise At Work Regulations 1989...
